Q: What's the next step after selections? Do we hit the race track right away?

A:

We know it would be difficult for the selected drivers to be away from race cars, but a reality check on their fitness levels is a must too. In an extensive fitness camp, the drivers will be given a thorough training on how to keep up their mental and physical health. Motorsport can be quite challenging and a check on the fitness levels before the season begins will help the drivers take the fatigue that racing brings along, in a much better way. Soon after the fitness camp we will begin with the pre-season testing to give a hands-on experience of the cars that the drivers will be racing for the season. The pre-season test will be organized at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore. The season begins after the pre-season test. The 2017 season of Volkswagen Ameo Cup would see the inaugural round of the season being hosted at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, the next two rounds at the Madras Motorsports Race Track, Chennai  and the season's finale at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida. The provisional race calendar for this season will be uploaded on the website soon.
